This policy applies to dougsnydercpa.com and to information handled by Doug Snyder, CPA, CGMA (“I,” “me,” or “my”) in connection with this website and inquiries made through it. As a certified public accountant, I handle nonpublic personal information in accordance with applicable professional standards and privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), which governs how financial professionals protect client information.

• Information you provide. Your name, email, phone number, and the details you share when you submit the contact form, request a strategy conversation, book a call, subscribe to updates, or otherwise communicate with me.
• Information collected automatically. Standard technical data your browser sends when you visit—such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and referring pages—collected through cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
• Client engagement information. If you become a client, nonpublic personal and financial information you provide, or that I obtain with your authorization, to perform the engaged services.

Do not send sensitive information through this website. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, tax documents, or account numbers through website forms or email. Existing clients should exchange sensitive documents only through the secure client portal (Taxdome).

I do not sell your personal information. I do not disclose nonpublic personal information about current or former clients except as necessary to perform the engaged services, with your authorization, or as required or permitted by law. I share information with service providers who help operate this website and my practice (see below), and I require them to protect it and use it only for the services they provide to me. I may also disclose information to comply with legal process or to protect rights, safety, and property.

• Taxdome — secure client portal for exchanging documents and messages with clients.
• AdvisorStream — delivers the curated articles shown on the Insights page.
• Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery, and security.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and consent, I may send SMS messages related to your inquiry, appointments, or services through GoHighLevel. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any service. Mobile information is not sold or shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data retention
